Interim Financial Accountant – 12 month contract

About the role
We are seeking an Interim Financial Accountant for a 12‑month contract with a high‑profile organisation in London. The role will support financial control, balance‑sheet reconciliation and the production of statutory accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the year‑end closing process, monitoring journal postings and audit adjustments.
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures related to the balance sheet.
- Monitor and forecast cash flow, maintaining treasury management controls and bank positions.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the charity and its trading companies.
- Support the Financial Accounting Manager in delivering consolidated statutory accounts for the organisation and its subsidiaries.
Required profile
- ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified accountant, or in the final stages of professional examinations.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including SORP.
- Technically astute, proactive and detail‑oriented.
