Interim Financial Accountant – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join a leading international organisation undergoing a finance transformation programme. The role is predominantly remote, with regular travel to an Irish site and occasional visits to the London office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the completion and standardisation of balance sheet reconciliations, resolving legacy issues.
• Establish a robust monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, delivering reconciliations by Working Day 6/7.
• Document, review and standardise finance processes across the EMEA Finance team.
• Support finance data cleansing activities and ERP readiness, including potential system migration projects.
• Manage lease accounting reconciliations, administer lease accounting software and prepare monthly IFRS 16 journals.
• Drive improvements in financial controls and governance across multiple entities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Proven ability to improve finance processes within complex, multi‑entity organisations.
• Experience working in international or multi‑entity businesses.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
