Interim Financial Accountant (Contract)

About the role

Grant Thornton is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join its CFO Solutions Finance Placements team on a contract basis. You will work on short‑to‑medium term projects, supporting clients through periods of change while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare half‑year and full‑year end accounts for large organisations.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure audit requirements are met.
• Produce monthly management accounts for senior stakeholders.
• Consolidate group accounts and manage intercompany transactions.
• Support statutory reporting and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Fully qualified member of ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent professional accounting body.
• Experience in companies with turnover of at least £50 million, preferably listed FTSE or top‑20 practice.
• Proven track record in financial and statutory accounting within an industry setting.
