Interim Financial Accountant – Contract Role

About the role

Grant Thornton is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join its CFO Solutions Finance Placements team on a short‑to‑medium‑term basis. You will work on a hybrid schedule, spending 2‑3 days per week on‑site in Leeds, supporting clients through periods of change and challenge.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare half‑year and full‑year accounts for large organisations.
• Liaise with audit teams and manage audit processes.
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Consolidate group accounts and handle intercompany accounting.
• Support financial reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS where required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified member of ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent professional accounting body.
• Experience in an industry environment with annual turnover of at least £50 million, preferably within a listed FTSE business or a top‑20 practice.
• Proven track record in statutory accounting, audit liaison and month‑end reporting.
