Interim Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Interim Financial Accountant to support an international group’s consolidation and reporting processes. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage multi‑currency consolidations and the Cognos reporting system, with flexible hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Group’s multi‑currency consolidation across all reporting cycles.
• Oversee the Group’s Cognos reporting and consolidation system.
• Document and maintain the consolidation process, coordinating updates with the Cognos provider.
• Assist in preparing the financial sections of the Group’s annual report and interim statements.
• Support tax accounting, including annual report disclosures.
• Liaise with the Group’s auditors.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and advise on accounting standard changes.
• Account for Group‑level items such as goodwill, share‑based payments, and expected credit loss calculations.
• Handle IFRS 16 lease accounting and communicate appropriate entries to subsidiaries.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in group consolidations within a multi‑currency environment.

Required skills

• Cognos reporting and consolidation software.
