Interim Financial Controller – 2 Month Contract

About the role

This is a hands‑on, two‑month interim position supporting a well‑established North Devon business during a period of transition. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and the head office to keep the finance function running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Monitor, forecast and manage cash flow
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and control‑account reviews
• Monitor budgets and analyse variances
• Oversee transactional finance processes
• Support payroll and statutory reporting requirements
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors as needed
• Provide financial insight and support to senior management
• Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior finance professional
• Ability to quickly understand existing processes and deliver immediate support
• Strong stakeholder management and credibility building
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Availability to start at short notice or immediately
