Interim Financial Controller – 3‑4 month contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing global services business in Avonmouth for a 3‑4 month engagement. The role will stabilise the month‑end close, support international expansion and ensure accurate VAT and CIS reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the month‑end close process and improve its efficiency.
• Prepare and manage CIS and VAT returns, handling related queries.
• Utilise Sage Intacct to its full functionality, especially for consolidation.
• Transition consolidation reporting from Excel to Sage Intacct.
• Support multicurrency accounting, international VAT registrations and new entity setups.

Required profile

• Strong technical finance experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to stabilise or improve a pressured month‑end process.
• Experience mentoring and upskilling junior finance team members.
