Interim Financial Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established business seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide financial leadership, strengthen controls and deliver high‑quality reporting to support strategic decision‑making. This hands‑on, office‑based role offers broad responsibility across reporting, compliance, finance operations, systems and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure statutory, regulatory and Companies Act compliance.
• Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations and management accounts.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and intercompany accounting.
• Support external audits and maintain robust financial controls.
• Take ownership of open accounts administration, mappings and ledger structures.
• Oversee company secretarial activities and corporate governance requirements.
• Lead and develop the finance team while driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls and compliance.
• Experience managing finance teams and improving processes.
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
