Interim Financial Controller – Manufacturing (Hybrid)

About the role

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company in Harlow, is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead key finance projects on a temporary basis. The role offers the chance to make a real impact within a small finance team and may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide robust financial analysis and engage stakeholders to align plans with divisional priorities.
• Assist with the internal audit process and produce required reports.
• Maintain effective internal controls and strengthen finance processes.
• Implement new procedures and drive process improvements across the finance function.
• Prepare and submit month‑end reporting.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience at Financial Controller or Finance Director level, with a hands‑on approach.
• Experience in manufacturing or construction is highly beneficial; professional services or financial services backgrounds will not be considered.
• Availability to start by early September.

What we offer

• Daily rate up to £350 (PAYE) or £400 (umbrella), equivalent to up to £80,000 per annum.
• Hybrid working – three days in the Harlow office and two days remote.
