Interim Financial Controller – South Europe

About the role

Our client, a leading brand, is seeking an interim Financial Controller to oversee reporting for its South European business area. This temporary, full‑time position is based in Weybridge and will ensure accurate end‑to‑end accounting, compliance and timely delivery of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete record‑to‑report cycle, including month‑end close and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare local statutory accounts and coordinate with outsourced service providers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support Group Finance in annual and monthly cycles.
• Supervise assistant controllers, providing guidance and performance oversight.
• Handle internal and external auditor requests and maintain audit documentation.
• Provide financial data for corporation tax returns and review balance‑sheet reconciliations.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant with practical experience in Italian GAAP and tax.
• Fluent in business‑level Italian.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and its practical application.
• Proven ability to lead teams and meet tight reporting deadlines.
