Interim FinOps Manager – Hybrid (London)

About the role

We are partnering with a founder‑led, high‑growth technology business that needs an interim Finance Operations (FinOps) manager to bring stability to its transactional finance function. The role will focus on cleaning up the payables and receivables ledgers, ensuring accurate payment runs, and recovering aged debt while the wider finance team is built.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounts payable and accounts receivable, keeping both ledgers clean and up‑to‑date.
• Run scheduled payment runs and process supplier invoices accurately.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Lead a clean‑up of aged debtors, drive collections and improve cash flow.
• Introduce structure and consistency to transactional processes ahead of a future ERP implementation.
• Collaborate with RevOps and commercial teams on billing and collections.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in transactional finance covering AP, AR, payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Proven track record in credit control and recovering aged debt.
• Highly accurate, process‑driven and comfortable working in low‑systems or non‑ERP environments.
• Ability to start on 1 August and work on an interim basis.
• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.

What we offer

• Day rate of £250‑£350 (depending on experience).
• Hybrid working – a few days per week in a London office.
• Full‑time interim contract for 3‑4 months with the possibility to extend.
