Interim Fund Accountant 6 Month FTC

About the role

This fixed‑term position supports a leading venture capital fund during a six‑month coverage period. Reporting to the CFO, the interim fund accountant will handle fund‑level accounting, financial reporting, and investor communications across multiple active venture vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual fund financial statements and investor reports.
• Oversee third‑party fund administrators to ensure accuracy of reports and records.
• Maintain portfolio monitoring, fund management and forecasting systems.
• Assist with regulatory and tax reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Coordinate with auditors, lawyers, bankers and other external parties.
• Support capital call and distribution processes, including investor correspondence.
• Calculate fund‑level and deal‑level IRRs and perform ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Produce analysis and presentations for leadership, including quarterly fund reviews.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CA/CPA) with experience at a top‑10 audit firm or in‑house finance.
• Background in private equity or venture capital accounting, including familiarity with LPAs and valuations.
• Ability to work quickly and confidently in a fast‑moving investment environment.
