Interim Fund Accountant – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are partnering with a leading venture capital fund to secure an experienced Fund Accountant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will support the finance function during a period of cover, working closely with the CFO and external service providers to deliver accurate fund and portfolio accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual fund financial statements and investor reports.
• Oversee fund administrators to ensure the accuracy of reports and records.
• Maintain portfolio monitoring, fund management and forecasting systems.
• Assist with regulatory and annual tax reporting in line with LPAs and accounting standards.
• Coordinate with auditors, lawyers, bankers and other external parties.
• Support capital calls, distributions and related investor communications.
• Respond to investor requests, audit confirmations and collaborate with the investor relations team.
• Calculate fund‑level and deal‑level IRRs and perform ad‑hoc analysis.
• Prepare ad‑hoc reporting for leadership, including quarterly fund reviews for the Investment Committee.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CA) preferably from a top‑10 firm.
• Audit or in‑house finance experience within PE/VC environments.
• Strong technical foundation in fund structures, LPAs and valuations.
