Interim IT Sourcing Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Interim IT Sourcing Manager to lead high‑value procurement initiatives for a public‑sector organisation in Milton Keynes. You will manage end‑to‑end strategic sourcing programmes, delivering commercial value and innovation across complex spend areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing from business requirement through to contract signature.
• Deliver significant savings and commercial value in high‑risk IT spend.
• Implement sourcing pipelines aligned with category strategies and exceed savings targets.
• Ensure robust governance and regulatory compliance in a regulated procurement environment.
• Negotiate contracts to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
• Develop innovation‑driven sourcing solutions to address business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for seamless transition to supplier management.
• Influence stakeholders at all levels using strategic engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement, demand management, and customer satisfaction initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive strategic IT sourcing experience with a proven record of delivering savings.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution abilities.
• Solid understanding of contract law and financial management.
• Successful management of complex sourcing opportunities.
• Experience working in cross‑functional, agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including at executive level.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £550.
