Interim Management Accountant (3-6 months)

About the role

This is a 3‑6 month interim position supporting a growing manufacturing business in North Oxfordshire. The role is office‑based, full‑time, and offers an immediate start for a qualified or part‑qualified accountant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals and pre‑payments, to meet reporting deadlines.
• Analyse P&L variances against budget and forecast.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and VAT return preparation.
• Support R&D tax credit claims and year‑end audit processes.
• Produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts and related analysis.
• Handle monthly stock accounting, analysis, and assist with annual stock‑take.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (QBE acceptable).
• Experience preparing management accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and stock accounting.

Required skills

• SAGE accounting software.
• Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables).
