Interim Management Accountant – 6‑month contract

About the role

Our client, a leading entertainment business in London, is seeking an interim Management Accountant for a six‑month assignment. You will join the finance team to produce timely management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with UK tax and reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve mis‑postings or imbalances in the ledger.
• Analyse performance versus budgets and forecasts, providing commentary and recommendations.
• Monitor and control costs, identifying efficiency opportunities with operational teams.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with budget holders.
• Complete UK VAT returns for attractions and review royalty statements.
• Reconcile revenue systems, third‑party ticket partners and gift vouchers on a monthly basis.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and audit processes.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and finance process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.
• Ability to start immediately or within one week’s notice.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with operational teams and senior stakeholders.
