Interim P2P Consultant - Workday Certified

About the role

A major technology-enabled procurement transformation programme is looking for experienced, Workday-certified interim Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Implementation Specialists. You will help translate business requirements into practical, scalable Workday solutions and support the implementation, optimisation and adoption of P2P processes and technology. The role is contract/interim, based in London, with a duration of 3-6 months and an ASAP start date.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the implementation and configuration of Workday P2P functionality, including procurement, requisitioning, purchase orders, supplier management and invoicing.
• Map, design and optimise end-to-end P2P processes, identifying opportunities for automation, standardisation and improved controls.
• Translate Procurement and Finance requirements into Workday system configurations and functional solutions.
• Support system integration, data migration, testing (UAT), defect resolution and deployment.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption, deliver training and embed new ways of working.
• Troubleshoot implementation challenges and provide hands-on expertise during go-live and hypercare.

Required profile

• Current or previous Workday certification, ideally aligned to Workday Procurement, Workday Strategic Sourcing or relevant Financial Management functionality.
• Proven experience delivering Workday P2P implementations, ideally across complex, multi-entity organisations.
• Strong understanding of the full Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including sourcing-to-contract interfaces, purchasing, supplier onboarding, invoicing and payment.
• Demonstrable experience of system configuration, process design, testing and implementation.
• Ability to engage with senior Procurement, Finance and Technology stakeholders.
• Delivery-focused mindset, able to add immediate value in an interim capacity.

The candidate must be UK-based. The day rate is £500-£700 plus outside IR35.
