Interim People Operations Advisor (Hybrid)

About the role

This interim position supports a large educational establishment in South East London, providing hybrid, full‑time People Operations expertise for an initial six‑month period. The advisor will act as the first point of contact for managers and employees, delivering generalist HR support where self‑service options are insufficient.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for HR queries received via phone, chat or other channels.
• Research and resolve queries, escalating complex cases to ER specialists or relevant Centres of Expertise.
• Liaise with CoEs to understand and implement HR strategies and frameworks.
• Perform HR administration tasks using available tools, templates and HR systems, ensuring timely and consistent delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR service efficiency and meet Service Level Agreements.
• Collaborate with HR Specialists, Senior People Business Partners and CoEs to provide comprehensive solutions and maintain legal compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a People Operations or HR Advisor in a multi‑functional environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to meet SLAs and maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, capable of escalating issues appropriately.
• Ability to work collaboratively across HR teams and stay up‑to‑date with policy changes.
