Interim Quality and Compliance Manager

About the role

This interim position offers a six‑month fixed‑term opportunity to lead quality and compliance for a growing apprenticeship and training provider in the Cotswolds. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure Ofsted readiness, funding compliance and continuous improvement across apprenticeship programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Ofsted readiness activities across apprenticeship provision.
• Support the organisation through Ofsted inspections and quality reviews.
• Conduct quality assurance audits, reviews and sampling activities.
• Develop and monitor Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
• Carry out funding compliance audits in line with ESFA funding rules.
• Analyse quality and performance data to identify risks and drive improvement.
• Support the development of Self‑Assessment Reports (SARs).
• Provide coaching, support and challenge to operational teams and managers.

Required profile

• Significant experience within apprenticeship and training provision.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework.
• Extensive understanding of ESFA funding rules and apprenticeship compliance.
• Proven experience conducting audits, compliance monitoring and quality assurance reviews.
• Experience supporting or leading an Ofsted inspection.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
