Interim Sales Ledger Assistant

About the role

Our client is seeking an Interim Sales Ledger Assistant to join a friendly, supportive finance team in Milton Keynes. This office‑based position offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and wants to develop a career in finance.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and process customer invoices
• Allocate incoming payments
• Manage customer accounts and perform reconciliations
• Chase outstanding invoices and support credit control activities
• Handle customer queries efficiently and professionally
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Provide general support to the finance department

Required profile

• Previous experience in Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Good communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
• Positive, can‑do attitude
