Interim Sales Order Processor – Industrial Manufacturing

About the role

This interim position supports a medium‑sized industrial/manufacturing company by handling the full cycle of sales order administration. The role is based in Burgess Hill and offers a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and timeliness are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer purchase orders and assess requirements.
• Enter and maintain orders in the Cardex ERP system and associated portals.
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, quality, and other functions to resolve order issues.
• Prioritise orders based on ship dates and perform analysis to determine if they can proceed.
• Research within Cardex to resolve discrepancies and monitor critical orders for timely shipment.
• Expedite high‑complexity or urgent orders and manage customer claims, RMA processes, and corrective actions.
• Maintain pipeline health on part usage and demand in collaboration with sales and planning teams.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Experience handling administrative tasks in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Cardex.
