Interim Warehouse Project Manager

About the role

This interim assignment is focused on redesigning a UK food manufacturer’s warehouse operation for the next decade. You will join a high‑visibility transformation programme, influencing how the warehouse will function, be governed and supported by technology.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the warehouse transformation steering group as the operational voice.
• Design and embed robust, repeatable warehouse processes.
• Shift inventory management from tribal knowledge to system‑based control.
• Future‑proof operational workflows and maximise utilisation of warehouse systems.
• Strengthen governance and embed continuous operational improvements.
• Prepare the warehouse to support the next generation of manufacturing.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering warehouse or supply‑chain transformation projects.
• Ability to challenge existing ways of working and propose better solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management across operations, supply chain, manufacturing and project teams.
• Experience leading change programmes in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation.
• Inventory control systems.

What we offer

• £500–£550 per day plus expenses.
• 6–9 month contract with a leading food manufacturer.
