Intermediate Java Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Intermediate Java Software Engineer to join a cross‑functional team delivering high‑quality, maintainable solutions for our clients. You will work with Java and modern frameworks, expand your technical expertise, and help improve development processes while taking ownership of key project tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, and Hibernate.
• Write unit and integration tests following Test‑Driven Development principles.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate in Scrum/Agile teams, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Document software features and usage for client users.
• Support front‑end development when required.

Required profile

• Experience working in Scrum or Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and Java best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Test‑Driven Development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka for real‑time data processing.
• Proficiency in SQL and basic knowledge of stored procedures and indexes.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related services.
• Front‑end development experience is a plus.
