Internal Account Manager

About the role

Whistl is seeking a driven Internal Account Manager to join its Bolton team. You will be the primary commercial contact for a portfolio of over 70 customers, building strong relationships, ensuring service excellence and contributing to revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day customer experience and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain regular communication and strong relationships with assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Customer Services, Sales, Operations, Finance) to deliver consistent support.
• Review performance against contracts and service levels, recommending improvements.
• Achieve commercial targets (CNR, Cash, Volume & EBIT) and uphold the annual Sales Plan.
• Promote the full Whistl service offering and support contract negotiations, pricing reviews and renewals.
• Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM and prepare activity/forecast reports.
• Stay up‑to‑date on Whistl products, industry trends and market developments.
• Assist wider business projects alongside the Internal Sales Manager and Sales Director.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proven collaborative working across departments.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Experience in account management, customer service or similar client‑facing roles is desirable.
• Education: A‑Level (or Level 3 qualification) or equivalent work experience.
