Internal Auditor – AVP – Banking

About the role

The leading financial services institution is expanding its Internal Audit team in London. As an Assistant Vice President – Internal Auditor you will work across a range of banking products, gaining exposure to both UK and European operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audit engagements covering retail, corporate and investment banking lines.
• Assess risk and control environments, identify improvement opportunities and follow‑up on remediation actions.
• Collaborate with business units and senior management to ensure audit findings are understood and addressed.
• Prepare audit workpapers, reports and presentations in line with the institution’s audit methodology.
• Support the development of audit programmes and contribute to continuous improvement of the audit function.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of broad banking audit experience, including internal audit exposure.
• Strong understanding of banking products, regulations and risk frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
• Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
