Internal Sales Consultant

About the role

As an Internal Sales Consultant you will turn service‑technician leads into committed customers by quickly understanding their needs and delivering accurate quotes. You will work closely with the Inside Sales Manager to keep the sales pipeline moving and help the team meet its targets.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a queue of service‑technician leads and make introductory calls to identify requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate quotations using internal pricing tools and systems.
• Secure orders for labour and materials through confident telephone conversations and timely follow‑ups.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, product availability and technical information.
• Provide regular updates to customers, managing expectations and delivering excellent service.
• Support the wider sales function by contributing to team targets and business goals.
• Complete general administrative tasks that support the sales process.

Required profile

• Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to learn internal systems.
• Confident and effective telephone sales abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask, organise workload and work independently.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working to targets and KPIs.
• Team‑oriented mindset while also capable of autonomous work.
• Previous B2B sales experience (nice to have).
• Product knowledge in fire suppression, HVAC or fire & security (nice to have).
