Internal Sales Executive

About the role

The Internal Sales Executive will join a growing business in Peterborough, supporting the development of new business and the management of existing customer relationships. You will work on both inbound and outbound sales activities, helping to expand the company’s market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively seek new business opportunities through inbound and outbound sales efforts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing, lapsed, and prospective customers.
• Upsell and expand customer orders to maximise sales opportunities.
• Conduct market research to identify target customers and new opportunities.
• Generate, manage and follow up on customer quotations.
• Maintain a structured and active sales pipeline to support growth.
• Provide ongoing account support and build strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of sales experience in an office or retail environment.
• Good understanding of the sales process and customer lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage a busy workload.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in the building, trades or construction sector is advantageous.
