Internal Sales Executive

About the role

Workstreet is seeking an ambitious Internal Sales Executive to join its Birmingham office. This full‑time, office‑based position offers a competitive base salary plus OTE and provides a fast‑paced environment where you will generate new business, nurture client relationships and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through outbound calls, prospecting and targeted lead generation.
• Identify and engage key decision‑makers across multiple industries.
• Follow up marketing campaigns and inbound enquiries to convert leads into customers.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM systems.
• Prepare tailored quotations and commercial proposals.
• Manage the sales process from initial contact to successful close.
• Develop existing accounts, upsell services and ensure client retention.
• Record all customer interactions, opportunities and sales activity accurately.
• Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal sales, telesales, business development or lead generation.
• Highly motivated, target‑driven and results‑focused.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confident making outbound calls and handling objections.
• Strong closing skills with a commercial mindset.
• Organised with great attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritise workload.
