Internal Sales Executive

About the role

Hayley Dexis is seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join its Exeter team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, processing orders and providing expert product advice. The role combines phone support with face‑to‑face interaction at the trade counter.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries and customer queries via phone and in‑person.
• Process sales orders accurately and efficiently.
• Act as the face of the trade counter, offering expert knowledge to walk‑in customers.
• Follow up on outstanding enquiries and prepare accurate quotations.
• Identify upsell opportunities and add value for customers.

Required profile

• Confident, proactive and able to handle a variety of tasks.
• Prior internal sales experience or a customer‑service/administrative background.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing is desirable but not mandatory.
• Self‑motivated with strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MRO/engineering products (ideal, training provided).
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
