International Freight Operations Coordinator

About the role

Our client, an established international logistics business, is looking for an International Freight Operations Coordinator to join a friendly, supportive team. The role involves handling import and export documentation, customs processes, shipment coordination and operational administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage export documentation for international shipments.
• Complete customs entries accurately and in line with current regulations.
• Liaise with carriers, customs authorities and third‑party providers to ensure efficient, compliant movements.
• Produce KPI packs and operational performance reports.
• Support day‑to‑day coordination of international freight movements.
• Respond to customer and supplier enquiries via telephone and email.
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the International Operations team.
• Assist with both import and export activities as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, customs or international operations.
• Proven ability to complete customs entries.
• Experience preparing export documentation for international shipments.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to develop.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
