International HGV Class 1 Driver – UK & Europe

About the role

We are looking for an experienced International HGV Class 1 Driver to join a growing transport team based in Hythe, Kent. You will operate modern DAF XF, Volvo FH, Mercedes and Iveco tractors, delivering time-critical freight across the UK and mainland Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HGV Class 1 vehicles safely on national and international routes.
• Complete deliveries to regular destinations in France, Belgium, Italy and additional European countries.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, pre-trip inspections and report any defects.
• Load, unload and secure curtain-sided and box trailer cargo.
• Prepare and verify customs, transit and delivery documentation.
• Maintain accurate driving, delivery and vehicle records while complying with UK and EU drivers’ hours regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch teams and customers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and Digital Tachograph card.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Minimum one year of long-distance or international driving experience.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe.
• Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and varying schedules.
• Valid passport and settled status or appropriate working visa.

• Salary £42,000‑£46,000 per annum (visible).
