International Tax Manager – Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

Bupa is seeking an International Tax Manager on a 12‑18 month fixed‑term contract to join its Group Finance team. Working across London, Manchester, Staines and Brighton, you will help shape the company’s global tax strategy, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear UK and international tax advice to business units.
• Support cross‑border transactions, funding structures and major business changes.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities to inform decision‑making.
• Collaborate with teams in multiple markets to ensure local tax compliance.
• Contribute to transfer‑pricing documentation and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Assist with Corporate Interest Restriction calculations.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
• Seek continuous improvement in tax processes, systems and data usage.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional (ACA, ACCA or CTA).
• Experience in corporate tax within a multinational environment or large advisory firm.
• Strong understanding of UK and international tax principles.
• Ability to analyse data, challenge assumptions and present clear conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex topics.
• Self‑managed workload with a track record of meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
