International Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an International Tax Manager to join our Finance team in Belfast. The role sits within the Partners’ Affairs and Tax (PAT) team and supports the Head of International Tax in overseeing global tax compliance, advisory and risk‑management for the firm’s worldwide offices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a detailed understanding of tax systems across the firm’s operating territories and support partner‑payment processes.
• Manage tax compliance activities, coordinating advisors and internal teams to meet filing deadlines for the firm and its partners.
• Handle information requests from partners, local offices and advisors to ensure timely tax reporting.
• Prepare year‑end non‑UK tax calculations, tax equalisation figures and fiscal account notes.
• Provide real‑time oversight of partners’ non‑UK tax balances, addressing timing differences and adjustments.
• Review ad‑hoc tax filings in non‑firm jurisdictions and advise on potential exposures.
• Calculate UK Double Taxation Relief for UK‑resident partners and manage withholding tax exposures.
• Respond to internal and external tax queries promptly.
• Offer tax advice on mobility issues for individuals working overseas.
• Continuously improve tax processes, including the use of AI where appropriate.
• Supervise junior team members in London and Belfast.

• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of international tax issues affecting professional partnerships.
