Inventory & Procurement Manager (Supply Chain)

About the role

This position leads purchasing, inventory management and supplier performance for a busy, growing business near Romsey. You will ensure that products and materials are available to meet customer demand while keeping stock levels efficient and fostering strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day purchasing and inventory functions.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support business growth.
• Produce demand forecasts and analyse purchasing requirements.
• Monitor and optimise stock levels to balance availability with excess inventory.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and distributors.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, contracts and service agreements.
• Review and enhance procurement, inventory and supply‑chain processes.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Prepare management reports, forecasting data and KPI analysis using Advanced Excel.
• Support, develop and manage a small team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory planning and demand forecasting.
• Excellent supplier relationship management and negotiation abilities.
• Track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
• Previous experience leading or managing a small team.

• Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
