Investment Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a newly qualified Investment Accountant to join a leading real‑estate investment firm. The role offers hands‑on exposure to the financial operations of property development entities and a fast‑paced environment in Central London.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage management accounts for multiple real‑estate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct detailed financial reviews, post month‑end and quarter‑end journals, and support variance analysis.
• Collaborate with asset and project managers to produce forecasts and upload financial data for group reporting.
• Handle development property cost coding, reporting and analysis against project budgets.
• Manage VAT and CIS returns, guaranteeing timely and accurate submissions to HMRC.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide data for year‑end audits and tax computations.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, preferably with experience in real‑estate investment or private‑equity.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite or Yardi.
