Investment Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an analytically minded Investment Analyst to join a growing investment team within a respected financial services institution. You will support credit and fixed‑income portfolio analysis, reporting, governance, and strategic initiatives, working closely with senior investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual credit reports.
• Analyse credit portfolios and deliver insights to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain high‑quality management information and reporting tools.
• Prepare reports for governance and internal control committees.
• Support investment governance meetings and liaise with external stakeholders as required.
• Assist with investment‑related projects and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and conduct standards.
• Provide broader support to the investment function when needed.

Required profile

• Prior experience in the investment sector.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Degree in a science or numerically focused discipline.
• Experience working with large datasets, analysis and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, capable of independent work and teamwork.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of financial markets and investment instruments (bonds, equities, futures, collective investment vehicles).
• Understanding of investment principles and financial analysis.
• Experience in data analysis and investment reporting.
