Investment Banking Associate – Industrials

About the role

The Investment Banking Associate – Industrials will work within Citi’s Institutional Banking team to support clients in capital raising and strategic advisory transactions. This intermediate‑level role combines deal execution with client relationship development across the industrials sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of investment banking transactions, including M&A and capital markets deals.
• Leverage prior investment banking experience to enhance deal execution and capital‑raising capabilities.
• Contribute to building Citi’s franchise by supporting business development and client outreach.
• Manage and mentor analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and oversight of information flow.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience evaluating corporate transactions, structures and creating financial analyses.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and support client development.
