Investment Banking Associate – UK Banking

About the role

Citi is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to support its UK Banking franchise. The role combines client‑facing advisory work with execution of capital‑raising and M&A transactions, acting as a strategic partner for corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of Citi's investment banking activities, including capital raising and M&A advisory.
• Leverage prior investment‑banking experience to enhance deal execution and client coverage.
• Contribute to the growth of Citi's franchise by supporting business development initiatives.
• Manage and mentor analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and oversight of information flow.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience evaluating corporate transactions and structures.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting client development and tracking industry trends.
