Investment Banking Associate – UK Coverage

About the role

We are looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join our UK Coverage team in London. The role focuses on M&A advisory, working with UK‑listed corporates, private businesses and financial sponsors on strategic transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of UK and cross‑border M&A transactions from inception to completion.
• Prepare transaction marketing materials, information memoranda, management presentations and board documents.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, merger models and accretion/dilution analyses.
• Perform company valuations and strategic analyses to support transaction recommendations.
• Advise senior bankers and corporate clients on strategic alternatives, acquisitions and disposals.
• Conduct detailed company, industry and market research and monitor UK M&A activity.
• Identify potential acquisition targets, buyers and strategic opportunities for clients.
• Coordinate due‑diligence workstreams, manage virtual data rooms and facilitate information exchange.
• Collaborate with Leveraged Finance, ECM, DCM and industry coverage teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor analysts and contribute to a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
