Investment Counselor – Private Banking

About the role

The Investment Counselor joins Citi Private Bank in London to act as the primary investment advisor for ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNW) clients. Working closely with relationship managers and product specialists, the role blends market expertise with client‑focused advisory to drive business development and asset gathering.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for UHNW clients, delivering tailored investment advice and portfolio solutions.
• Identify suitable products, execute sales, and coordinate post‑sale implementation with internal partners.
• Collaborate with relationship managers, product specialists, and senior colleagues to develop and present investment ideas.
• Meet defined financial and relationship targets, including revenue generation, client satisfaction, and asset growth.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market trends, investment strategies, and Citi’s product suite.

Required profile

• Proven experience advising UHNW clients on investment solutions within a private banking or wealth management environment.
• Strong communication, diplomacy and emotional intelligence to build trust with senior clients and internal stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of generating new business and expanding existing relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a broad range of product specialists and support teams.
