Investment Operations Manager – Fixed Income

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Operations Manager to lead the Fixed Income operations team for a major insurance‑backed investment portfolio in London. The role will support the Head of Investments in maintaining operational integrity and driving process improvements during a period of significant organisational change.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end investment operations for Fixed Income assets, ensuring accurate trade settlement and data integrity.
• Manage relationships with third‑party managers, custodians, Lloyd’s syndicates and other service providers.
• Maintain system custodianship, supervise asset positioning and monitor operational risk and controls.
• Lead change‑management initiatives and drive automation of routine processes.
• Produce and review daily operational reports, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing an Investment Operations team within an asset‑management or large insurance investment environment.
• Strong knowledge of Fixed Income operational cycles, commingled investments and illiquid asset valuation.
• Experience working with Lloyd’s syndicates or similar insurance investment structures is highly preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA or IMC are advantageous.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Aladdin or comparable investment‑management platforms.
