Investor Relations & Business Development Manager

About the role

This position is with a leading long/short equity hedge fund based in London. You will work closely with senior leadership to support capital raising initiatives, manage existing investor relationships, and expand the firm’s institutional investor base.

Key responsibilities

• Support and execute the firm’s institutional fundraising strategy.
• Build and nurture relationships with institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, consultants and other allocators.
• Manage prospective investors throughout the fundraising process, from initial engagement to allocation.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing investors and deliver high‑standard client service.
• Collaborate with the investment team to communicate portfolio performance, positioning and strategy.
• Prepare and deliver marketing materials, presentations and due‑diligence responses.
• Represent the firm at investor meetings, conferences and industry events.

Required profile

• 6‑12 years of experience in Investor Relations, Business Development, Capital Raising or Institutional Sales within a hedge fund or alternative asset manager.
• Proven experience working with institutional investors, family offices, consultants or private wealth channels.
• Strong understanding of long/short equity strategies and the hedge fund landscape.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
• Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in growing an investment business.
• Ambition to develop into a senior fundraising professional.
