IT Asset Manager – ITAM & ITIL for Banking

About the role

This is a brand‑new opportunity to lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of physical IT assets for a major banking organisation. You will work in a green‑field environment, building the IT Asset Management (ITAM) framework from scratch and shaping the future of asset governance across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle process for physical IT assets, from procurement to disposal.
• Establish and run an ITAM Centre of Excellence aligned with global standards and DORA regulations.
• Design, implement and maintain asset management tools and CMDB integrations, primarily using ServiceNow.
• Ensure audit readiness, cost optimisation and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technology and security teams to embed robust governance across the organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in IT asset management or IT operations within a regulated financial‑services environment.
• Proven track record of building frameworks rather than only maintaining BAU processes.
• Detail‑oriented, compliance‑driven and comfortable working in a fast‑moving, green‑field setting.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across EMEA.

Required skills

• ITIL Foundation knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow asset management modules.
• Strong familiarity with CMDB concepts and tools.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as DORA.
