IT Business Relationship Manager – Critical National Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Relationship Manager to act as the strategic bridge between IT and senior business leaders within a critical national infrastructure organisation. The role is hybrid, based in Banbury, and initially runs for three months with a high likelihood of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring technology solutions meet operational needs.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with senior leaders to drive digital transformation initiatives.
• Oversee delivery of IT services and projects, guaranteeing seamless integration in a regulated, high‑security environment.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Provide expert guidance on IT governance, compliance, and service‑management best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing relationships with senior business leaders in complex IT settings.
• Strong background in IT service delivery and large‑scale project management.
• Expertise in governance, risk management, and compliance related to IT operations.
• Ability to navigate highly regulated sectors and align technology with security and operational demands.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing at executive level.

Required skills

What we offer

• Day rate of £450‑£500, inside IR35.
• Hybrid working model (2‑3 days onsite).
• Potential for contract extension beyond the initial three‑month period.
