IT Consultant Apprentice

About the role

Turn IT On is seeking an eager apprentice to join its team of education‑focused ICT consultants. You will provide routine IT support to staff and pupils in schools, handling basic diagnostics, equipment maintenance and common software assistance under the guidance of senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Line Manager or Network Manager to ensure schools receive high‑quality service, including handling quotes and follow‑ups.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date database of school hardware and software.
• Operate securely across all platforms in line with organisational guidance and legislation.
• Deliver professional written and verbal communication to internal and external customers.
• Report any non‑conformances, mistakes or complaints.
• Attend apprenticeship training workshops, complete coursework on time and keep clear communication with schools, managers and team members.

Required profile

• Basic experience and knowledge of ICT and technical issues.
• Quick learner, willing to master new programs or website interfaces.
• Flexible, approachable and able to travel to a variety of schools.
• Committed to making a positive impact for teachers and pupils.
• Adaptable to change and capable of working independently.
