IT Deployment Team Leader – 9‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Deployment Team Leader to manage a specialist deployment team on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves overseeing the delivery, configuration and lifecycle support of IT equipment across a large, multi‑site organisation, ensuring staff have the technology they need to deliver effective services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the IT Deployment Team to meet agreed service levels and customer expectations.
• Oversee imaging, configuration, installation and deployment of hardware across multiple locations.
• Manage the full IT asset lifecycle, including stock control, audits, ordering, warranties and disposal.
• Provide technical expertise and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
• Coach, mentor and plan workload for team members, driving performance and development.
• Collaborate with Digital Services, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver seamless IT services.
• Support incident management, service improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with information governance, security and operational standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience in IT support, deployment or infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of hardware configuration, imaging solutions and asset management.
• Background working in public‑sector organisations such as NHS Trusts or similarly complex environments.
• Proven team‑leadership ability with a focus on excellent customer service.
