IT & Digital Services Apprentice

About the role

Join Victim Support Scotland as a Modern Apprentice within the Digital Services and IT Team. You will gain hands‑on experience supporting everyday IT operations while developing core technical skills under the guidance of senior IT Officers.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to basic IT support queries such as password resets and device checks.
• Log and update support tickets, maintain IT documentation and asset registers.
• Assist with simple content updates on the IT Hub and routine system monitoring.
• Support cyber‑security routines, software updates and device inspections under supervision.
• Shadow IT Officers to learn O365, SharePoint and security processes.
• Collect data for KPI and monthly reporting.
• Help with procurement of IT materials and prepare project hand‑over documentation.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about learning technical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
• Commitment to confidentiality and GDPR compliance.
