IT Governance & Assurance Manager

About the role

This newly created senior position sits within the Information & Technology function and reports directly to the Head of I&T. You will lead the development and execution of a robust governance framework that ensures technology services, projects and suppliers are aligned with organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the I&T governance framework, covering operational services, architecture, projects, suppliers, risk, financial oversight and performance management.
• Assess the current governance maturity, identify gaps and implement scalable processes and reporting mechanisms.
• Provide senior‑level visibility of technology performance, risks and financial health through regular assurance and performance reports.
• Coordinate governance, assurance, risk and performance reporting across the department.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, influence decisions and challenge assumptions constructively.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT governance, assurance or related leadership roles.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement and influencing skills, with confidence to interact at senior leadership level.
• Ability to assess frameworks, drive improvement and embed practical, scalable governance structures.
