IT Helpdesk Technician

About the role

Robert Half is seeking an ambitious IT Helpdesk Technician to join their Leeds office. You will be the first point of contact for users, delivering prompt and professional support across a range of hardware, software and Microsoft 365 services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st‑line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals in a Windows 11 environment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID and Intune.
• Log, prioritise and resolve incidents and service requests using a help‑desk ticketing system while meeting SLA targets.
• Manage user onboarding and off‑boarding, account administration, access permissions and device provisioning.
• Maintain up‑to‑date IT documentation, knowledge‑base articles and asset records.
• Assist with IT projects, video‑conferencing support and deliver basic user training.
• Escalate complex problems to senior engineers or third‑party providers as required.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Willingness to work on‑site five days a week in Leeds.
