IT Manager

About the role

Richmond Square Consulting is recruiting an IT Manager for a long‑established multi‑site business in South East England. You will lead a small internal support team, manage external technology partners and own the company’s IT infrastructure, security and business‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small internal IT support team.
• Manage relationships with the external Managed Service Provider and other technology suppliers.
• Own infrastructure, networks, Microsoft 365, ERP systems and critical business applications.
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable and well supported.
• Oversee cybersecurity, data protection, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Deliver IT and business systems projects, including ERP improvements, automation and digital transformation.
• Provide practical technology advice to senior stakeholders and help the business maximise the use of systems and data.
• Support approximately 25 operational locations with occasional UK travel.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an IT Manager, Senior IT Manager, Head of IT or similar.
• Strong background in infrastructure, networks, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and business systems.
• Experience managing ERP systems and delivering technology projects.
• Proven responsibility for internal teams, MSPs and external suppliers.
• Hands‑on, practical approach with the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

What we offer

• Salary £75,000–£90,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Company bonus and pension scheme.
• Full‑time permanent contract, five days per week onsite.
